Three Africa Women Bankers
triumphed at the recently organised 2014 African Banker Awards in Kigali, Rwanda. These amazons are Vivienne Yeda, Linah
Mohohlo and Elizabeth Mary Oleko.
While Vivienne Yeda, Director General of the East African
Development Bank, scooped the much-coveted award for African Banker of the
Year, Botswana’s Linah Mohohlo clinched the Central Bank Governor of the Year
and Elizabeth Mary Oleko, the chairperson of the Kenya Women Finance Trust
rounded up a strong performance for women bankers with the Lifetime Achievement
Award.
