Precision Air Services (PW)'s Head of Brand and Marketing, Linda
Chiza, has revealed that her company is set to launch its flights to Mbeya
through Songwe Airport on Wednesday next week.
According to Chiza, the Dar-Songwe route would be served by the
airline's ATR-72 which has the capacity to carry 70 passengers.
She added that the Mbeya route is PW's 18th destination apart from
other connection routes, making the airline a giant local airline in terms of
destinations and the size of its fleet.
"We are proud to launch this new route to Songwe Airport,
which will allow us now to serve passengers from Mbeya and regions in the
Southern Highlands.”
"The aim is to give our customers a schedule which will fit
to their needs," she said.
"We believe that taking our services to Mbeya will ease
transport to tourists, traders and corporates visiting these regions which are
rich in tourist attractions such as Ruaha National Park and Katavi as well as
several other game sanctuaries.”
The Brand Manager also revealed that after the launch of Mbeya
route, PW will embark on an aggressive route expansion plans by increasing the frequencies
of its flights to the destinations it is currently flying.
